Jeff and his family currently live in Waukee.  Jeff's wife, Tara, is a Nurse Practitioner at Blank Pulmonology clinic in Des Moines.  They have 4 kids:  Storm, Camille, Jace, and Stone.  They also have two dogs, Pete & Franklin.  

Jeff grew up just outside of Des Moines in Colfax.  He joined the USMC after graduating high school and served 6 years as a mortar man.  He likes to think having short hair for so long trained his head to become bald.

Jeff grew up working in a family insurance agency - he is probably the only 10 year old who wanted to be an insurance agent when they grew up.  
 

"I love what I do!  I get to help customers and build relationships with them.  I have worked with many of my customers for 25+ years.  I insure their parents, siblings, kids, and their friends and neighbors.  You really get to know your customers to where you become friends.  The majority of all my clients are from referrals. My model for the agency has always been that we service our clients.  I know other places do not do it this way and that is fine.  I just think that it is wrong to sell a client a policy, and then tell them to call 800#s or go online.  I value relationships.  Also insurance can be complicated as everyone has their own unique needs.  I want my clients to be insured with the right coverage and at the best price.  Both aspects are important."

Outside of insurance, Jeff supports and volunteers for youth wrestling as he thinks it is a great sport for kids.  His three oldest kids, including his daughter, have all wrestled.  Stone has a couple more years until he is on the mat!  Jeff also likes to go fishing, and investing in tackle.  He also enjoys spending time with friends and family.  His wife loves to travel, so they try to do that as much as possible.
